The Roundtable: "China's Rise: Challenges and Opportunities" Postponed

Dear Colleagues and Friends,

The “Round Table on China’s Rise- Challenges and Opportunities”, organised with the co operation of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation and Sabanci University, was planned to take place on 19th -20th March 2020 in Istanbul, Turkey. All preparations were achieved so far to ensure a successful event.

Further to our last communication, we have taken the difficult decision to postpone the “Round Table on China’s Rise”. We have done so by prioritizing your health and safety, knowing that the Covid-19 epidemic is still in development in Turkey and abroad, while international organizations such as the WHO and the EU have increased the level of risk assessment as “very high” for the Covid-19 outbreak.

In this regard, we are pleased to inform you that the “Round Table on China’s Rise” event shall be postponed to the autumn, taking into account the recommendations of the WHO and other relevant authorities.

We are currently working on the logistics of the new schedule, and will inform you within the shortest possible time.

We thank you for your understanding and look forward to seeing you in the autumn.
