- Apart from those initiated under the Erasmus Exchange Framework, FASS has partnership and cooperation agreements with the following academic institutions:
- ULSAN National Institute of Science and Technology, Korea. A general partnership agreement is signed in 2011 in all fields.
- La Trobe University, Australia. A general agreement signed in 2011 in all fields.
- University of Higher School of Economics, The Decision Choice and Analysis Laboratory, Russia. A general cooperation agreement is signed in 2010 and a research workshop is held at FASS with presentations by PhD students by the two institutions. The agreement covers cooperation in various areas and is expected to grow in the near future.
- Vrije Universiteit Brussel, Belgium. A memorandum of understanding signed in 2006. It covers exchange and cooperation in the field of education and research. SU and VUB are close partners within Erasmus Mundus ECW Project.
- The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, China. A general partnership agreement is signed in 2010. Both partners intend to develop cooperation in the field of student and faculty exchange, joint supervision of research students, joint appointment of renowned professors, collaboration in research, and joint participation in internationally funded projects.
- Interdisciplinary Center (IDC) Herzliya, Israel. An agreement signed in 2009 covering student exchange.
- Doshisha University, Japan. A memorandum of understanding signed in 2010. It covers development of following cooperations: Student and faculty exchange, joint research projects, joint seminars, conferences, exchange of research materials and resources.
- Limkokwing University of Creative Technology, Malaysia. A memorandum of understanding signed in 2007. It covers student and faculty exchange, joint curriculum development, joint research activities, exchange of exhibitions, special short term activities.
- Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk, Poland. A memorandum of understanding on student exchange signed in 2004.
- The Polish National Film, Television and Theater School, Poland. A cooperation agreement signed in 2009. It covers student and faculty exchange as of 2009-2010.
- SUNY Oswego (In Approval), USA. A general partnership agreement is signed in 2010. It covers development of following cooperations: Student and faculty exchange, joint research activities, exchange of materials and Joint curriculum development and joint degree programs.
- University of Cincinnati, USA. A memorandum of understanding which is signed in 2004. It covers development of following cooperations: Student and faculty exchange, joint consultation and evaluation, joint proposals, joint conferences, joint publications, exchange of materials.
- Oxford University, St Anthony’s College, United Kingdom. The 2009-2010 Sabancı fellow at Oxford is Professor Ayşe Kadıoğlu.
- Boston University, USA. An agreement signed with the university in 2012
