The Program in Conflict Analysis and Resolution at Sabanci University in Istanbul, Turkey is accepting applications for the 2008 - 09 academic year. The Conflict Analysis and Resolution Program is the only Master's program of its kind in Southeastern Europe, taking a regional lead in training a new cadre of conflict resolution specialists and peacemakers from Turkey and countries around the world. The M.A. Program in Conflict Analysis and Resolution gives students skills to analyze and understand conflict at inter-personal, inter-group and international levels. Different aspects of negotiation, mediation, third party intervention, ethnic conflict, issues related to post-conflict reconstruction, reconciliation, psychosocial aspects of conflict, and media and conflict are core components of the curriculum. The program emphasizes the scholar-practitioner model, providing students with a strong theoretical background as well as means for applying their knowledge to real-world settings. M.A. students in Conflict Analysis and Resolution go on to hold positions in organizations such as the United Nations Development Programme, Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Google, Citibank, and private mediation consulting firms. They have also successfully pursued doctoral degrees in related fields at a variety of outstanding Turkish, European and U.S. institutions.
Applicants must have completed their degree programs (B.A./B.Sc, or MA/M.Sc), or expect completion by September 2008. The deadline for the early admissions period is 6th of February, 2008.

1. English Proficiency Exam Result (*) The validity period for these scores are as follows : TOEFL 2 years; IELTS 2 years.

2. Science Test Score Result: The validity period for these scores are as follows : LES 2 years; GRE 2 years.
LES / ALES Numerical, Equal Weight or Verbal : LES min. score 45; ALES min. score 55
GRE Minimum score 610 in Quantitative Section
3. Official Transcript: Sealed and taken from Student Affairs of the applicant's university indicating the courses and grades taken.
4. 2 Letters of Recommendation: (included in the application form) Please click.
5. A Statement of Purpose clarifying the goals and expectations of the applicant.

(*)The graduates of Sabanci University, who have applied and accepted to a Sabanci University graduate program within 2 years following the graduation, will be exempted from the English Language Assessment Exam.
Financial Support: Limited number of scholarships based on academic achievement are available in the form of partial or full tuition waivers and stipends.
