Ayşe Gül Altınay at Ruhr-Universitat as Marie-Jahoda Visiting Chair

FASS Faculty Member Ayşe Gül Altınay has recently received an invitation from Ruhr-Universität Bochum to serve as the Marie-Jahoda Visiting Chair in International Gender Studies for the 2012 Summer term. The Marie-Jahoda Visiting Chair in International Gender Studies aims “to invite outstanding international scholars within the field of Gender Studies” and to “promote international cooperation between feminist scholars from Germany and different African, American, Asian and European countries.” 

As the Marie-Jahoda Visiting Chair, Ayşe Gül Altınay will give lectures on her research areas in Ruhr University - Bochum and other universities in Germany that are part of the Gender and Women’s Studies Network.
