Hülya Canbakal at Institute for Mediterranean Studies

Canbakal is in Crete undertaking archival research for a project on gender inequality in the Ottoman Empire. She works at the Institute for Mediterranean Studies, part of the FORTH (Foundation for Research and Technology-Hellas), where she has been nominated as affiliated researcher*.  Canbakal’s rearch is supported by The Coulson-Cross Aegean Exchange Fellowships provided by ARIT (American Research Institute in Turkey).
