2.nd student exhibition "From Figure Drawing to Animation"

FROM  DRAWING TO ANIMATION

The second time, “From Drawing To Animation” exhibition is held in Fass Art Gallery. The group of second and third year students are brought together by A. Wong and W. Zaremba. The exhibition emerges from the innermost handcraft “drawing”. The basic quality of drawing; to draw on surface or to leave the surface undrawn is interpreted, displayed and empowered towards movement in model drawings, paintings, 3D modelling works and in the linearity of videos.  The placement of various mediums in the exhibition space serves to stimulate every medium to question each other. Model drawings recall their cardinal quality throughout the display of 3D modelling processes. All across, three canvas centered to hold each other make  the apparition at the videos tangible.

All the mediums; drawing, painting, computer based modelling on 2D surface and video, chased the lantern of “drawing” for the map of self knowledge. This self knowledge once hunted will ask advanced investigation further away.

This exhibition is a wandering into the relations among different mediums drawn together to reveal their own relevance to contemporary art and its all mutable demands.
