Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences of Sabancı University invites application for a full-time position in Sociology. Candidates who have recently completed their Ph.D. or are near completion are encouraged to apply. Applicants should demonstrate excellence in grounded research as well as a solid background in social theory. Potential for scholarly publication and promise of outstanding teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels are important criteria of preference.

We seek a scholar with a broad grounding in transnational processes, whose interests cut across the boundary between periphery and metropolis, and whose grasp of social formations demonstrates critical engagement with issues of globalization. Strong qualitative and quantitative research skills and demonstrated desire to articulate and/or bridge disciplinary boundaries will be considered an asset.   

Sabancı University, a private, innovate academic institution, is strongly committed to interdisciplinary research and teaching both at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
