Full-Time Faculty Position in Art History/Visual Studies at The Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, Sabancı University (Istanbul, Turkey)

The Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, Sabancı University, invites applications from scholars in early or mid-career, holding a PhD in Art History and compatible field.

Applicants to the Art History position should have a strong grounding in theories of different periods of art history and visuality, an interdisciplinary perspective on the aesthetics and cultural contexts of visual texts, a strong research performance or potential, and teaching experience. Present and pressing need is more related with the history of art from the beginning to the end of the 18^th century. Recent and controversial debates and approaches to art history should be within the field of interest of the candidates. They must be able to teach general introductory courses on Art History as well as more specialized upper level courses.
