ECON 347 – Project and Infrastructure Finance

• Project Finance: the credit problem, funding sources, business strategy, debt capacity, maximization of available capital, distributing risk and funding growth, the problems of partners, and hedging political risk. 

• Fundamentals of Cost Benefit Analysis: conceptual foundations and alternatives, basic microeconomic principles, mechanics of discounting, dealing with uncertainty and the social discount rate. 

• Case studies and lessons of experience a popular financing method: Public Private Partnerships.
