Emine Deniz

Emine Deniz is a Visiting Assistant Professor of Economics and Political Science. Before joining Sabanci University, she held faculty positions at the University of Chicago Harris School of Public Policy and Ozyegin University. She holds a doctorate from New York University in Political Science, a master’s degree in Economics, and a bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Systems Engineering from Sabanci University.  

Dr. Deniz is a political economist; she studies the political consequences of economic decisions and the economic consequences of political decisions. Her research ranges from education to stock markets, from conflict to bureaucracy. She uses game theoretic and experimental and observational empirical methods to answer the questions of interest.
