VACD Seminar: Sander Oosterom (Cornell University)
Sander Oosterom is a doctoral candidate in German Studies at Cornell University. Originally from The Netherlands, he obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Art History cum laude from Utrecht University. At Cornell, he further pursued his interests in art, religion and politics. Currently, he is writing his dissertation on the politico-theological background against which the rediscovery of medieval art, and particularly the icon took place in German Romanticism.
