Graduation Exhibition of Demet Yıldız, MA student in VAVCD

Although Istanbul, a city where the “other” is created by its
inhabitants gradually, seems like a chaotic place at first sight, a
closer look reveals a clear distinction between different social groups
in terms of housing tenure types. The exhibition discloses the
dividedness of the city through the metaphor of E-5 highway which
literally divides the city into two halves.
