Hernando Barragan worked for Utensil, a New York based design studio, taught at Colombia’s University of Los Andes, chaired its MOX Supercomputing Center, built software tools to support computer graphic teaching and designed furniture and art work. His recently published project hipercubo/ok/ on art, science and technology in Latin America will be presented in museums in Canada, Colombia, France, Spain and Uruguay.
Wiring is an open source programming environment and electronics i/o board for exploring the electronic arts, tangible media, teaching and learning computer programming and prototyping with electronics. It illustrates the concept of programming with electronics and the physical realm of hardware control which are necessary to explore physical interaction design and tangible media aspects.
