Drawing Theatre and H2O Performance
The student’ s cultural backgrounds play a very important part in the drawings in the course VA 323 Figure Drawing. Pulling their memories into the actress’ performance, which they then portray in their works. The actrors also bring their own background and interpretations to the performance, which give the students a chance to study unexpected body language and facial expressions. Culturally specific gestures and body language is used in the performance to place the actors from Poland in front of Turkish students.
Anna Rakowska and Piotr Misztela will combine their H2O performance with Wieslaw Zaremba Drawing Theatre in front of the summer school students at the FASS Art Gallery.
This will be the continuation of our common Wroclaw performance experience
in Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Fine Arts which happened last January
