From Sketch to Painting 2014 The exhibition works have been collected from the students of VA204 Language of Drawing II, VA324 Advanced Drawing participants. It is a process for Visual Arts Students of Sabancı University through years of their drawing study with Wieslaw Zaremba. Paintings of Language of Drawing II, framed around different themes such as, “Following Your Dreams”, theme that students paint their dreams, using live models and “Self portairts” that is accepted as final project of this course, using dry pastels and water colour. The aim of this course requires concieving realistic painting, therefore anatomycal analysis of live models and objects that have been used in the painting is severely important and the main theme for paintings of VA204 course Advanced Drawing students are reflecting their independent work on canvas, using various painting medium. High school students learnt how to see and observe the ordinary, to visualize, to compose and to create fundamental concept related with their playful thoughts - Human, City and Nature.

"sMall iDeas" looks at the artistic process of negotiating between the making, and the concept of scale and space. It also aims to bring out how artists engage with the notion of smallness that pervades this negotiation between mark-making and the medium.

The exhibition An Opera of Labour and Revolution takes an unsentimental look at the collective and its expressions both today and in the past, juxtaposing artworks based on the iconography of heroic, revolutionary gestures or collaborative, unified action.

Lanfranco Aceti, the founder of OCR, Edward Colless, Head of Critical and Theoretical Studies, and Paul Thomas, Program Director of Fine Art at COFA, are the lead chairs and organizers of the conference Cloud & Molecular Aesthetics from June 26 to 28, 2014, at the Pera Museum. We invite you to three stimulating days that explores new perspectives and evolutions in contemporary art were acclaimed professionals including curators, historians, creative arts practitioners, critics and theorists consider transdisciplinary imaging relating to the theme of cloud, dispersal, infinitesimally small and molecular aesthetics.
