Lecture by internationally renowned graphic artist Emrah Yücel

Emrah Yücel, born in

Ankara,
Turkey, is a
two-time winner of the prestigious Graphic Design Artist of the Year.
He has received a Master’s degree in Art, Graphic Design and
Architecture. His designs have been featured in
Warsaw,
New Mexico Poster Biennials and International Exhibitions (ICOGRADA) in
Toronto,
Glasgow,
New York to

Paris.

Before Iconisus, his company, Solaris, created some of

Turkey’s top corporate identities as well as cultural and commercial posters, including Istanbul Film Festival. In 1996, he moved to

New York. There he designed and developed many corporate identities and websites as well as Off-Broadway theatrical posters.

Pursued by the Headhunters, he then moved to

Los Angeles to work at Seiniger
Advertising in 1999. As Senior Art Director there, he created campaigns
for many top feature films for most of
Hollywood major studios, as well as highly
visible domestic and international projects. He then left Seiniger to
form the team at Iconisus. Currently he is running Iconisus in the
capacity of Creative Director.

Recently he won Hollywood Key-Art awards two years in a row. His
campaign for the movie “Frida” selected as a best international poster.
His interviews and articles are printed in various magazines and
newspapers such as Los Angeles Times.
