Jean Monnet Scholarships for SPS students from the European Commission

Social and Political Studies students have been awarded the prestigious Jean Monnet Scholarship from the European Commission for the academic year 2005-2006.

The European Commission awards Jean Monnet scholarships for post graduate studies in European Union institutions to candidates who are evaluated according to their performances in written and oral examinations supervised by the Jean Monnet Joint Committee.

For the academic year 2005-2006, around 550 candidates from Turkey applied to the European Commission and of the 80 scholarships awarded to students currently enrolled in graduate and post graduate programs, 4 of them have been granted to the Social and Political Studies students.  In addition, 2 Social and Political Studies students and 1 economics student are on the waiting list for the scholarship.
