CULT MA student Nil Uzun’s conference participation

University Cultural Studies program master student Nil Uzun has recently
participated two consequent conferences in United Kingdom.

She has presented a
paper on “Independent Artist Initiatives in
Istanbul:Circulation of Culture in Grassroots Globalization as a Form of
Activism” at London Metropolitan
University on March 7-8, 2008 in London (UK); on “The Role of Artistic
Practice in Social Movements: Artist Initiatives in Istanbul” at Manchester
Metropolitan University Department of Sociology on March 17-19, 2008  in Manchester (UK).
