FACULTY POSITION IN SOCIAL COGNITIVE PSYCHOLOGY

The Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, Sabancı University, invites applications and/or nominations for a faculty position in Social Cognitive Psychology. The position is open as of September 2010, to mid-career candidates as well as candidates who have recently completed their PhD or are near completion.

We seek a scholar with a PhD in psychology, with strong specialization in social cognitive psychology, applied cognitive science, applied decision making with a solid theoretical background. Further specialization in one or more of the following areas is preferred: conflict analysis and resolution; social psychology, political psychology, self and identity, social cognition, naturalistic decision-making, psychology of education and learning. The successful candidate must have a strong record and potential for top quality scholarly publication, as well as promise of outstanding teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
