New Minor Honors Program: Art Theory and Criticism

Art Theory and Criticism Minor Honors Program provides the student with a strong background in art theory and criticism. The emphasis is on the interactions and contrasts between the modern and the contemporary arts, latest developments in as well as the dynamics of the philosophy of contemporary arts. The main objectives of the program include introducing the students to the world and network of curators, museums and visual arts, equip them with a foundation for graduate studies in these fields and develop their skills in art criticism, in particular visual arts. 

Applications to the program are going to start by Fall 2010-2011. For those who want to apply can do so till October 7th, 2010 by submitting their petition and transcript to the Faculty they're enrolled in.

 Program's required course VA 430 Art Analysis: Theory and Criticism is being offered in Fall semester for 2010-2011 academic year.
