FASS faculty member Ayşe Parla receives the TUBA-GEBIP award 2011

Ayşe Parla receives the TUBA-GEBIP award 2011, given by the Turkish Academy of Sciences to Outstanding Young Scientists. One of the young stellar researchers at FASS, Ayşe is a sociocultural anthropologist teaching mainly in our Cultural Studies programs.

The award will finance a research project on migration and citizenshipfor the next three years. Ayşe  received the award in a ceremony on June 3, at the annual Academy Day in Istanbul.
