HIST PhD Uygar Aydemir & Marloes Cornelissen's conference participation

History PhD students Uygar Aydemir and Marloes Cornelissen have attended “Rethinking the Modern: Colonialism, Empire and Slavery” conference  organized by The British Sociological Association and The University of Warwick on July 10-12, 2011.

Uygar Aydemir presented a paper entitled “Orientalist Influences on Cenap Şahabettin's Travelogues” and Marloes Cornelissen presented his paper called “South Africa, an Ottoman Colony?” at the conference.
