Mevhibe Ateş Graphic Design Student Competition 2013 | Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences

The theme of the 2013 poster competition is “Refugee Lives”.

Prizes
Mevhibe Ateş Graphic Design Student Competition awards three prizes: 1000 TL to the winner, 750 TL to the second and 500 TL to the third.

As the competition is organized to support the “No Home, No Voice” student project, participants acknowledge that selected works will be displayed in public spaces within the project framework.

Evaluation
The submissions will be evaluated according to the criteria below:
•    Strategic analysis of the given theme
•    Creativity and originality of the approach
•    Success of the typographic and iconographic analysis used in visual design

Participation
The competition is open to all third and fourth year students of Arts faculties of universities in Turkey.

Poster Format
Participants should submit their works in PDF format, vertical, with size 50cm x 70cm, 200 dpi resolution, CMYK format.

E-mail submission
PDF files of works should be submitted by April 26, 2013, under a nickname (with numbers like 1, 2, 3 next to the same nickname for multiple entries) to mevhibeates@sabanciuniv.edu.

The e-mail should include:
Subject line: Mevhibe Ateş Graphic Design Student Competition 2013
Attachment: The poster design file/s given a nickname and prepared as explained above

E-mail text: Personal information about the participant:
1- University
2- Faculty and year of study
3- Name and last name
4- Address and telephone number

Submitted works will be sent to the jury as PDF files, therefore file names should not contain/reveal any information about the submitting designer. Any entries not complying with this rule will not be taken into consideration.

Each entry is limited to 3 Poster designs. All submitted works will be evaluated by the jury on April 27-29 in closed sessions. Results and the selected works to be displayed will be announced at http://aafon.org on April 30.
